"Nova"
Sun
Conure |
|
Hello ,
Just thought I would send you an e-mail. The little Sun girl
is doing great! I decided to name her Nova. The first couple
days she didn't want to come out of her cage but now she's
playing and walking around on top her cage wanting to be
held and to play in my hair. She sat on my bed today in
front of the window flapping her wings and watching all the
birds fly by. Figure its good exercise for her :) I'm not
sure if you guys were feeding her the Zupreem parrot food
yet but she loves the fruitblend flavor so much I cant get
her to even eat seeds hardly anymore! So far all the fresh
food I can get her to eat is cucumbers and apples and boy
that wasn't easy but if she tried them I'm sure she will
eventually get the hang of it and start eating different
foods. Are their any you tried with her that she really
liked? We are going shopping for her again in the morning to
get her more fruit , veggies and a few parrot treats. I
attached some photos of her and her utter cuteness! Cant get
over how shiny her feathers are btw. I never noticed it on
the sun conures at our local pet stores but I did notice how
gentle she was with her beak unlike the little buggers at
the pet stores.

Hi Lisa and Mike,
I just wanted to write you to let you know the the conure I
got from you is doing really well. Thanks for meeting me in
Dixon. It save me a lot of driving time. It took only a
few days for her (I named her Ruby) to get comfortable with
me and her new home. She's really sweet and likes to be with
me whenever she can. Unlike my previous conure, she is
really good with other people too. She even transformed
some of my relatives into bird people. I can only think
that this is due to the work you did with her. If I ever
get a request for a parrot breeder, I'll be sure to mention
Breeding Dreams Ranch.
Thanks,
-Phil Imamura

even stopped plucking because he is too busy seeing what
Oliver is eating or doing!! At any rate we are really
enjoying him! He does not like to have his toenails
trimmed, wow, can he scream!! Yikes!

We just got Max's harness today
and he already let us put it on him. Just a few minutes of
training and he was on a leash and outside flying and
playing. I don't know how you did it but you raised a bird
that can handle just about everything. In just these few
days he has adjusted to a new home and new diet. He is
already gaining weight back. He flies around the room, steps
up to anybody and is friendly to anything, even the cats. I
can't wait to start taking him around town and letting
everybody play with him. You are an amazing breeder and I
can't wait to add another of your birds to my flock.

Lisa, Paco
is totally awesome. I am so stoked to finally have him here
with me in Long Beach. Delta was easy and fast. When should
I get his wings clipped again? He was on top of the cage and
flew about a good 15 -20 feet!
I will
write you more and send pictures soon. Lance

on top of his cage for a while then I got him to go into his
cage and about 8:30 I covered up the cage and never heard a peep
out of him the rest of the night. I have an appointment with the

Hi Lisa,
I am enjoying Obie sooo much. He is very comfortable
and seems very happy in our home. He is so comfortable
in fact that he sleeps with his head tucked back under
his wing while I go about my Sunday chores. I know that
means he is feeling safe here and is not feeling
threatened in any way, even by my little dog, (Buddy) a
Shih-tzu that is making friends with him. They are
already comfortable with each other! I am so pleased
and grateful to you for raising such happy little
parrots. I just wanted you to know that we appreciate
the care you've given which is apparent in Obie and his
calm demeanor. Thank you so much!
Blessings,

Hi Mike and Lisa,
Thank you so much for our new addition to the family!
We are still working on a name but the more time we
spend with him/her the more its trust and comfort levels
rise. It loves to preen and play with its toys and will
just fall asleep on my shoulder while watching tv.
Thanks again

Lisa,
I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful baby
you have raised. She is even more amazing than I
could have hoped for. Now that she is settled in, I
can see her true personality... and I love it! She
is comfortable around all of our family members, and
always squawks right back when I talk and sing to
her. How wonderful are these animals that God gave
us? I know there is much more for me to discover
about her, and I will keep you posted when major
events arise... But thankyou thankyou thankyou one
last time for your hard work.

That's right it didn't fool me---I just
wanted to tell you of her antics...I've let her fly whenever
she wants to check out the area(s)--she finally gives in
when she can't find a suitable landing spot and lands on my
hand (fingers). She made a pig of herself( food on her beak
and face) this morning on the sprouted grains...
